I'm no expert on what the kids are doing nowadays, but even I know that sticking faux bullet holes on your brand-new Japanese import does not make you an "Original Gangsta". And that's the only kind of vehicle I've ever seen sporting these things.

Wow, I have yet to see those. My personal favorite piece of press-on street cred is the "make of my car set in a faux-Asian typeface." Everytime I see one of those, I have to stop whatever conversation is going on in the car (even if it's just with myself) and over-dramatically say: "WHOA. Wait -- is that a MITSUBISHI?!?" (Or whatever similarly run-of-the-mill brand of car is being flaunted.)

Better yet (I have seen two of these) fake bullet holes on the same car as a 'Jesus fish' stickers. I'm not a christian by a long shot, but I have enough respect for the teachings of Jesus to feel that putting those two things on the same car are some kind of perversion.
